Lee started bowling at the age of 20 and was encouraged to bowl by his friends. Lee has been in the bowling business for 34 years. He has been a bowling proprietor for 11 years and a junior bowling coach for 15 years. One of his early role models was Dick Weber. He brought the knowledge to schools and taught bowling in schools for 5 years. Lee bowled in the Minneapolis Classic on the teams of Cy's Menswear, Mr. Bobs and Eggies. In the Bungalow Classic he competed with Anderson Floral. In the Doyle's Classic, he bowled again for Cy's Menswear. He has the following bowling titles: Minneapolis City Tournament Singles with a 718 and a share of the All-Events crown with Paul Aarestad in 1973 where they totaled 1,922; Central Bowlers Alliance (CBA) Title in Fargo, North Dakota in May 1972 and a Doubles Title at Garden Center in Alexandria, Minnesota. His high game is 300 and a high series of 781. Peterson's high end of the year average was 218. Lee's most memorable bowling event was winning the Central Bowlers Alliance (CBA) title in Fargo, North Dakota. He received his best bowling tip from Peg Torrison. Those drilling his bowling equipment were himself and Don 'Jake' Jacobsen. |
