Lil was one of bowling's stalwarts in the 1930's, 1940's and 1950's. She was President of the Minneapolis Women's Bowling Association (MWBA) from 1939-1940. Lil also served as a Minnesota State Director from 1948-1951 and a second Vice President from 1951-1955. She chaired the State Legislative Committee from 1949-1955. In 1938-1939 she bowled a 670 in the Minneapolis City Tournament, an exceptionally high score at the time. Lil was a Minnesota State Doubles Champion in 1950 in Duluth, Minnesota when she teamed with Jean Shellum and they totaled 1,177 with handicap. She competed in several leagues throughout the Minneapolis area and was always helpful to bowlers, the city and the state organizations.
